OVERVIEW

An attractive, aromatically forward, fresh and lively Verdicchio from one of Italy's most respected producers, Umani Ronchi. 

FOOD PAIRING INSPIRATION

This mid bodied, lively white will pair well with seafood, mushroom risotto, antipasto and light salads.

VINTAGE AND WINEMAKING

The wines are produced from vineyards with a south/south-west exposure on a band of hills between 150-300 meters above sea level from six-thirty year old Verdicchio vines

These vines are hand harvested around the middle of September.

The wine is fresh with good acidity so doesn't undergo malolactic fermentation and spends three months in steel.

PRODUCER NOTES

With 210 hectares of vines across Le Marche and Abruzzo, Umani Ronchi is hugely popular in Italy thanks to their range of wines made from both international varieties and indigenousness grapes  Umani Ronchi has doubled its estate and replanted 85% of its old vines since the Seventies and invested in local grapes like Verdicchio and Rosso Conero and recovered the Pecorino and Lacrima di Morro d’Alba varieties.

Umani Ronchi's production is both organic and vegan.
