Vestfrost features
Apart from the three year warranty, Vestfrost wine coolers offer a range of features as standard for the price that makes them an enviable choice. Many of the units are lockable with display shelves, carbon filters and attractive aesthetics making them ideal for service or storage in both freestanding or built-in models.
What range of wine coolers do Vestfrost offer?
Vestfrost are known for being one of the best wine coolers for those on a budget but even within the range there are differing QPR levels.
- The WFG range is Vestfrosts premium range of wine coolers where all of them can be built in to kitchen cabinetry as well as be used as freestanding units. They all have full tinted glass doors and premium beech shelving with some units also having display shelves.
- The W range are Vestfrost's best selling range and come in small undercounter units all the way up to full size freestanding units.
- The CVK range are wine cabinets ideal for long term storage with solid doors.
- The VKS range is the most basic range from Vestfrost which we currently do not stock in our premium range of wine coolers, but these units feature smoked glass doors and attractive dark grey exteriors.
How does Vestfrost protect your wine?
Every Vestfrost built and sold covers the main factors that can damage a wine;
- Humidity - To ensure the cork doesn't dry out (causing wines to oxidize) or that the labels come lose, Vestfrost wine coolers keep a constant humidity between 55-85%.
- UV Protection - Every Vestfrost wine cooler benefits from a UV protected glass door so no harmful rays can pass through to your bottles.
- Temperature - All Vestfrost wine fridges can be programmed between 5-18°C either as a single or a dual zone wine cooler. This wide ranging temperature allows you to store or serve white, red or Champagnes.
- Low vibration - Any unwanted vibrations in a wine cabinet will cause the wines to age prematurely. Vibrations don't just cause noise, they also cause the sediment in your wine to become agitated and disturbed, reducing the longevity of your wine as it ages. All Vestfrost wine fridges have low vibration compressors to keep vibration ultra-low.
Vestfrost Freestanding or Built- In Wine Cooler?
Many Vestfrosts can stand alone as freestanding wine coolers or be built into kitchen carpentry and sit flush to your kitchen cupboards. As many Vestfrosts are front venting wine coolers from a panel at the bottom of the unit this allows the cabinet to placed under counter or between kitchen units, the only place a Vestfrost can't be placed is integrated into a kitchen aperture.
Single Zone or Dual Zone?
All Vestfrost wine fridges can be set between 5-18°C. This makes a single zone ideal for those who want to cellar one type of wine over the longer term at a certain temperature like Bordeaux or Burgundy, however, by setting the wine cooler at the universal 12°C you can keep most reds and whites over the long term. It's also possible to use the wine cooler for service if there is only one type of wine you want to keep in the fridge, either red, white or Champagne can be catered for in service by a single zone Vestfrost.
A dual zone is useful if you want to cellar different wines at different temperatures, want to use part of the fridge for service or just want that degree of flexibility should your wine collection change. Dual zones are more expensive but if you want that versatility then it may well be worth the extra money.
