Brand new for 2024, the upgraded WC165X is a replacement for the hugely popular WC166X with improved features and improved energy consumption at 179kWh/annum. This unit can be built in or operate freestanding.
The WC165X benefits from a high bottle capacity at 166 bottles, dual temperature zones and is stylish and practical with 14 Beech wood shelves allowing quick and easy access to your wine. This is one of our best selling wine coolers around the £1100 mark thanks to having full stack shelving, carbon filter and two temperature zones.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
There are lots of positives to recommend the Montpellier WC165X wine cooler. The WC165X benefits from two temperature zones which can be set between 5-20C, however a difference of 5°C has to be maintained between the two zones.
The large number of telescopic beech shelves makes finding that specific bottle much easier. Unlike many wine fridges where bottles are stacked upon one another leaving you picking up and turning the bottles over to find that one bottle, you can see all your bottles and labels clearly without removing any bottles. It's also perfect for showcasing your wines.
The upgraded WC165X comes with a carbon filter so fine wines can also be matured in this wine cabinet.

PROS AND CONS - COOLERSOMM'S OPINION
The WC165X from Montpellier is an attractive wine fridge in stainless steel that benefits from 14 sliding shelves, a carbon filter and two temperature zones. The core reason to purchase this wine fridge is for those who need a stainless steel finish in their kitchen and want a shelf for every row of bottles.
On the cons side, the Montpellier is our cheapest tall unit, it comes with a two year warranty but isn't as robust as some wine fridges and this is why they are only sold domestically, it wouldn't be suitable for commercial use. However, if you'll be opening the fridge and using it in a domestic setting it will do the job of a home wine fridge well and represents good value for money. The WC165X has a smoked glass door rather than a UV protected glass door.

How many bottles will the MONTPELLIER WC165X hold?
Like most wine cooler producers, capacity sizes are referenced using Bordeaux style bottles. This wine cooler holds 166 bottles upon the 14 beech shelves.
The best way to optimise space in your wine fridge is to stack the same bottle type (Bordeaux or Burgundy or Alsace for example) on the same shelves.
