OVERVIEW
A fresh, Dolomiti wine with grapes grown at 300 meters above sea level and vinified in stainless steel giving full expression to the quality of the grapes. High acidity, great freshness, mid bodied with an apple and grape profile. Great with a salad or light pasta dish.
FOOD PAIRING INSPIRATION
This low alcohol, neutral Pinot Grigio will pair well with light summery dishes like Caesar salad, crab, white fish and chicken.
PRODUCER NOTES
Now in its sixth generation, Alois Lageder is one of the most highly regarded producers in the Alto Adige and over the last ten years has undergone a bit of a renaissance. With a new fresh line of wines and a commitment to biodynamic farming, the 'brand' really stands out as one of the most polished in this most traditional of winemaking regions. Happily the wines are also first rate, often scoring tre bicchiere awards with Gambero Rosso.
The Alois Lageder Winery works together with wine-growing partners from the Dolomiti area to create fresh and vibrant wines that reflect their unique origin – the Dolomites. The landscape is at once Alpine and Mediterranean, cool and mild, composed of mountains and lakes, rugged rock edges and green hills. The terroir is breathtaking, captivating, and majestic.
