The mQuvée WineCave 700 40D All Black is the wine fridge we recommend most often for a 40cm undercounter gap: a quiet, dual zone, built-in wine fridge that slots into the space a standard kitchen unit leaves behind. It runs at just 36dB with low energy consumption, the height adjusts between 82 and 89cm to sit flush under your worktop, and the door can be reversed to suit your kitchen layout.
Both temperature zones can be set between 5 and 20°C, with the two zones at least 4°C apart and the lower zone set warmer, so you can serve whites and Champagne properly chilled up top while reds sit at drinking temperature below, or hold everything at one temperature for storage. A carbon filter, UV protected door and vibration free shelving mean fine or aged wine can rest inside safely, not just bottles for the weekend. In short, it looks after your wine as well as it looks in the kitchen.
In November 2025 a V3 version was released in the UK that is quieter and more energy efficient than the prior model. As mQuvée's largest UK stockist, you're guaranteed the latest version. The All Black model is the same as the Anthracite Black model but with black shelf fronts.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This wine fridge has the capacity, fully shelf mounted, to hold 29 Bordeaux style bottles. Larger format bottles, like Dom Perignon Champagne, would require partial shelf removal whilst Burgundy and Alsatian bottles will fit upon the shelves.
With two temperature zones this wine cooler can be used as partial long term storage and partial service, or fully service, or fully long term storage. The wide range of temperatures means you can keep all varieties of wine in the fridge, from those to be served chilled like Champagne through to those served at room temperature like your very best Port and Claret.
The standout feature of this wine fridge is the compact width, dual temperature zones and adjustability to the home.
If both red and white wine will be kept in the fridge, the bottom zone has to be the warmer of the two zones and both zones need to be set at least 5°C apart. Both red and white wine should be long term cellared at 12°C, but the ideal temperature for serving reds is between 14-18°C depending on the type of wine and 5-9°C for white wine, making this fridge ideal for that purpose.

How many bottles will the mQuvée WineCave 700 40D All Black hold?
Like most wine cooler producers, capacity sizes are referenced using Bordeaux style bottles. This wine cooler holds 29 bottles when the 5 shelves are fully mounted.
Can this wine fridge go in a garage or utility room?
It copes better than most undercounter fridges. The WineCave 700 40D has a winter system and an SN-ST climate rating, which covers ambient temperatures from around 10°C up to 38°C. That makes it a sound choice for utility rooms and cooler spots in the home. For an unheated garage that drops towards freezing in winter, we'd point you to our garage wine fridges instead, which are built for harsher conditions.

Does the mQuvée WineCave 700 40D All Black come with a manufacturer warranty?
There is a five year warranty on all mQuvée BeerServer, WineCave, WineKeeper and Velvet range products, with a three year warranty on WineExpert and Winestore products, on all mQuvée products bought from January 2024. Purchases made before January 2024 benefit from a two year warranty only.
Can I customise this wine fridge to suit my needs?
The door can be reversed and the height adjusted from 82cm to 89cm.
What is the energy rating of this wine cooler?
Pre March 2021 this wine fridge had an energy efficiency rating of "A++" but with the changes to the efficiency scale this wine fridge now ranks "F", using just 100 kWh per year. How do I install this wine cooler?
The WineCave 700 40D All Black is a built in wine fridge and vents from a panel at the bottom front of the wine fridge that must be kept free of obstruction. Delivery can be deferred for several weeks if customers are not ready to take the wine fridge immediately.
Delivery to UK mainland is free and includes two man carry in, unpack and position services on stock items.
