100 bottle wine fridges come in two styles - wine service, whereby the wine fridge will keep wines at serving temperature and typically dual zone at this size or wine ageing, whereby there are usually less shelves, energy efficiency is higher and special technology like carbon filters are present.
100 bottle wine coolers are also usually for the serious collector rather than kitchen wine service and so more often feature other special requirements that more expensive wine collections would require like child lock, lock and key, audible alarms, humidity management, low vibration shelving amongst them.
How to install a 100 bottle wine fridge?
100 bottle wine fridges are not going to fit under-counter so are more rarely found the kitchen, however both integrated (raised off the floor) and built in units of this size do exist. They tend to be full size wine fridges more comparable to regular fridge freezers in size although on the lower end of the scale there are many more around shoulder height. They come in a wide variety of widths starting from 500mm but most commonly 600mm wide with a similar depth profile.
The most typical 100 bottle wine cabinet would be a freestanding model for around the home or a garage wine cabinet, these typically require winter systems if kept in changeable ambient temperatures. However, plenty of units for the kitchen and living space also exist. As is the case with all freestanding 100 bottle wine fridges, they would need 2-3 inches of space all around their circumference to vent.
100 bottle wine coolers are installed the same way as all wine coolers but usually just need that bit more space when comparing to an under-counter kitchen wine fridge.
