How to install at 600mm wide wine cooler?

Regardless of height or depth, 600mm (60cm) wide wine coolers are actually 59.5cm in width to allow for air circulation around the unit. During your search for a wine cooler you have probably noticed that some are labelled ‘freestanding’ and some are labelled ‘built-in’. Freestanding units should not be built in to kitchen carpentry as they need 2-3 inches of space around them to vent, without this the unit would overheat. For kitchens, a built-in wine fridge is needed as these units vent from the front panel. These built-in units are especially designed for kitchens and can safely be built-in to your kitchen.

This would depend entirely on the height, the number of temperature zones and shelves in the cooler and your wine collection. An undercounter wine cooler might hold around 40-50 bottles, but add a dual zone and that number will reduce. A full size wine cabinet can hold up to 200 bottles of wine.

The upper zone holds 16 bottles and can be set between 5-12°C while the lower zone holds 35 bottles and can be set between 12-20°C. This is a rare unit as it is an undercounter wine fridge with a winter system meaning it can be placed in colder rooms.
